For the change we need...

WALK WITH US TO EARLY VOTING

On Sunday, October 25, at 2 pm, gather with more than 20 Guilford County community and interfaith organizations at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer and walk with us to the early voting site at the Old Guilford Courthouse.

Register on Mobilize or Eventbrite:

A walk for the change we need.

We'll gather at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 901 E. Friendly Ave., at 2:00 PM for speakers, gospel music, a drumline, and giant butterfly puppets, then walk nine-tenths of a mile to the early voting site at the old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St.

Information tables from our endorsing organizations will be waiting on the lawn. This is a nonpartisan, multicultural, interfaith gathering — immigrant justice and health care and workers' rights and voting rights, side by side, because right now voting is how we change things.

Shuttles (as needed) can bring walkers back to Church of the Redeemer afterward.

Join an unprecedented show of community unity...

Over 20 interfaith and civic organizations are endorsing and taking part in the Unity Walk to the Polls. Let's make history, together!

Unity Walk: Feel the Joy of Togetherness

Featuring Inspiring Speakers and the Community Gospel Choir

Come be inspired and feel the power of togetherness. Hear the voices that rarely share a stage: voting rights, racial justice, immigrant justice, workers' rights, health care, and affordability. Join in the public display of a diverse community of concerned citizens united in their belief that voting together will help us all.

Unity Walk: Feel the Joy of Togetherness

Walk with the Grimsley High School Drumline

Come feel the energy! The Grimsley High School Drumline, officially known as the "The Blue Steel" Drumline will be joining the Unity Walk to the Polls. They are a performance-based percussion unit out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Operating under the broader Grimsley High School Band Program, this talented student group serves as an integral part of both the school’s daily Percussion Ensemble class and its after-school marching band program.

Known for their highly "energetic" culture and intense school spirit, the drumline frequently represents Guilford County Schools at major regional events.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The Unity Walk is open to everyone. No registration is required but registration is encouraged to help plan for accessibility and shuttles.

Carpooling is encouraged, and shuttles (as needed) will return walkers to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer after the program.

Sign Making & Singing Resistance Party

Make Signs & Music—October 15 @ 6PM

Before we walk, let's make some signs and some music.

Join coalition members and friends for a Signmaking & Singing Resistance Party — Thursday, October 15, 6 PM, at New Garden Friends Meeting, 801 New Garden Rd.

Grab a paintbrush or a marker and help create the signs that will lead the way at the Oct. 25 Unity Walk To The Polls. Pull up a chair and learn a few songs with Singing Resistance GSO. Or — even better — do both.

No talent required. No experience needed. Come as you are, bring your voice, your hands, or both, and join the fun.

We'll supply the poster board, markers, and pizza. You bring the energy.

IN UNITY WITH BLACK ACTION MARCH

Also on Sunday, Oct 25, Black Action March—Souls to the Polls

Souls to the Polls is a tradition rooted in the Black church — worship carried straight to the ballot box. This year in Greensboro, it takes the form of the Black Action March, a community and congregational movement to reclaim voting, led by the Pulpit Forum of Greensboro & Vicinity and the Greensboro Branch of the NAACP.

The march gathers at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, at New Light Baptist Church, 1105 Willow Road, and marches to the early voting site at Barber Park. You can register and vote the same day at the march.

A Faith-Action Rally and Faith Family Reunion precede it on Wednesday, October 21 at 6:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church, 1106 Tuscaloosa St., with choirs, keynote speakers, and food vendors.

The two walks step off an hour apart in different areas of the city.

Go to the one that works for you.

One Sunday, two walks. Either way, Greensboro walks to the polls on October 25.
